The plastic ones can be cleaned with a mixture of bleach and water. Just let them dry out and rinse them with water before giving them to your baby. The plush ones can only be spot washed. To kill any bacteria, throw them in the dryer for ten or fifteen minutes.
machine wash plush toys, boil plastic toys. also lysol spray works well. check the label if its safe to use around babies
I would get a bucket or a large bowl and soak them in hot soapy water for a couple hours. Don’t use Bleach….thats too harsh. Then I would rinse them off and maybe add a tad bit more soap….then wash them off again and leave them to dry. Nothing wrong with a little spray of lysol over them when you’re done. Ofcourse don’t let the baby play with them right away!
Machine wash and dry, then put it in a ziplock bag and pop it in the freezer. This will kill dust mites on the toys.
Check their labels.
Some stuffed animals, I put in a pillowcase. Shut it
with a hair band. And then run it through the washer
and in the dryer on low.. The one plastic ones with
rattles I worry about the lead and paint. I’m not sure how
to clean those, besides hot water. Good luck.
Machine wash with Dreft.
You can use sterilize tablet for the plastic toys (the one you use for baby bottle) and hand wash or gentle machine wash for the plush toys with disinfectant.
use a good disinfectant. Babies put things in their mouth all the time. Wash all her things in warm soapy water, rinse and sprau with a disinfectant .Let dry. Always read lables no matter what you use for your babies health aand protection. Good Mother KC. Keep asking if you don’t know. Some of us oldies have already been there. Jk
Plush can usually go in the washer on gentle. Plastic ones can usually go in the dishwasher on the top rack. Of course this would not work for electronic toys. Just wipe them down with kid friendly disinfecting wipes and leave for 24 hours.
I would put the plush toys in a pillow case and put them in the washing machine. For the rattles, i would you that clorox anywhere surface cleaner…it kills all bacteria and it is safe for children.
